Standard vacuuming is the everyday cleaning of carpet, rug, and standard floor surfaces. It picks up loose dust, hair, crumbs, and surface debris. It's part of virtually every residential and commercial cleaning visit we do.
This is what most people mean when they say 'vacuum the floors' — a normal vacuum, standard passes, visible surface debris removed. Done consistently, it keeps a home or workspace feeling maintained.
Carpet washing / carpet shampooing
Carpet washing (also called carpet shampooing, steam cleaning, or hot water extraction) is a separate specialty service. It uses water, cleaning solution, and specialized extraction equipment to pull embedded dirt out of carpet fibers. It's typically used for deep restoration, stain treatment, or scheduled deep cleaning.
This is a distinct service with its own equipment and expertise. It's not a stronger version of vacuuming; it's a different job.
What Haven Maid Services offers
Haven Maid Services provides residential, commercial, move-out, and routine cleaning. Standard vacuuming is included as part of that regular scope where appropriate. We do not offer carpet washing or carpet shampooing.
If your carpet needs wet extraction or stain treatment, we recommend booking a dedicated carpet cleaning specialist for that work. It's a specialty and best handled by a company that focuses on it.
When to book what
For everyday cleanliness, standard vacuuming as part of a residential, commercial, or move-out visit does the job. For deep restoration of a specific carpet, a specialty carpet cleaner is the right call.
