The right cadence for routine cleaning depends on how your household or business operates. There's no universal answer, but there are patterns worth knowing.
Weekly
Weekly routine cleaning works well for households with kids, pets, or high-traffic patterns; homes where cooking is frequent; and workspaces where cleanliness is visible to clients. It also keeps deep-clean debt from building up, which usually means each visit is faster and more focused.
Biweekly
Biweekly is the most common cadence for many homes. It keeps things comfortable without feeling like an over-service. Between visits, quick daily tidying handles the surface layer.
Monthly
Monthly cleaning fits smaller households, part-time residences, and clients who maintain the space themselves but want a periodic professional reset. It works, but expect each visit to take longer because more accumulates between them.
Signs you're on the wrong cadence
If you're cleaning heavily the day before the cleaners arrive, you might benefit from more frequent visits. If a visit feels too quick or the home never actually gets messy between visits, less frequent might be better. Cadence should feel natural, not forced.
Commercial cadence
For offices, cadence is driven more by foot traffic than by size. A five-person team may need daily attention if clients visit regularly, while a solo studio can do well biweekly.
Talking it through
Cadence is one of the first things we confirm on a routine cleaning request. Share how the space is used, and we'll help figure out what actually fits.
